Background: | The District enters into yearly contracts and partnerships with Universities' Departments of education to provide a professional preparation program for student teachers. The District also has yearly contracts and partnerships with the Alameda Office of Education and different universities that enabled the District to employ qualified teaching interns in areas of general education, special education, speech pathology, psychology, school counseling and communicative disorder programs. These programs are a benefit to the District and enable the students to continue vital training. The programs which seek to establish a partnership for the 2014-15 school year are:
