Background:
Pursuant to Board Bylaw 9150: Student Board Members, the Board of Education believes it is important to seek out and consider students' ideas, viewpoints and reactions to the educational program. In order to provide student input and involvement, the Board includes one Student Board Member from Alameda, ASTI, Encinal, and Island high schools.
 
The following students have been chosen as Student Board Members by their representative high schools:
 
ALAMEDA HIGH SCHOOL:    Julian Pelzner
ENCINAL HIGH SCHOOL:      Mimi Robles Wong
ASTI:                                           Fernanda Castro
ISLAND HIGH SCHOOL:         Jadah Waqai
 
A Board Member will swear in the Student Board Members who will be seated at tonight's meeting.
