Item Title: | Resolution No. 2014-2015.53 Affirming Conflict of Interest Code and Updating List of Designated Positions |
Item Type: | Action |
Background: | California’s Political Reform Act (Government Code §§ 87300-13) requires each public agency in California to adopt a conflict of interest code. AUSD adopted such a code in 2010. The Act also requires that agencies review and reaffirm their codes every other year to ensure that they remain in compliance with the Act. AUSD last reaffirmed its code during the 2012-13 school year. Staff recently completed the required 2014-15 school year review.
This resolution would reaffirm the District’s existing conflict of interest code as currently set out in Board Bylaw 9270 and satisfy the District’s review obligation under the Act.
Both the Act and BB 9270 also require that the Board create a list of “designated positions.” Those holding a designated positions must file annual financial disclosure statements with the state.
This resolution sets forth the District’s designated positions for 2015, meeting the obligation set forth in BB 9270 and the Act. |
