Background:On August 14, 2014, the Board appointed Dr. Sean McPhetridge as Interim Superintendent. His interim appointment runs through June 30, 2015.

This item would remove the “interim” label effective immediately, appoint Dr. McPhetridge as Superintendent, and extend the term of his appointment.

The proposed contract between Dr. McPhetridge and the Board would take effect on February 11, 2015 (superseding the remainder of the current interim superintendent contract) and run through June 30, 2018, a term of approximately three and one-half years.

Note: The item has been re-posted to address a revision of an erroneous sentence discovered in the contract language.

Dr. McPhetridge would be paid a salary of $220,000 per year in each year of the agreement, prorated for any partial year of service. He would also receive an advanced degree stipend and medical and other benefits to the same extent as all other District management employees.
