Background: | On March 8, 2011, Alameda voters approved Measure A with 68.01% voting yes. Measure A generates approximately $12 million per year for seven years. It replaced the former Measure A (passed in 2005) and Measure H (passed in 2008). To ensure public accountability and fiscal transparency, Measure A provides for a Citizen’s Oversight Committee to “review District compliance with the terms of this Measure.”
Tonight staff will provide the Measure A Second Interim update for 2014-15 as of January 31, 2015. Staff will present a complete report on those expenditures after the closing of the books for the 2014-15 school year.
