Item Title:Approval of Proposal from QKA to Produce the Conservation Efficiency Generation (CEG) Plan

Background:

The next step in the District’s work to create a Conservation Efficiency Generation (CEG) Plan is to conduct the energy audit and the solar feasibility study.  QKA is presenting their proposal to perform all the pertinent steps resulting in a comprehensive CEG Plan, including the structural and electrical analysis required to ascertain the estimated cost of installing solar panels in AUSD.

 

The QKA proposal is $246,750 plus the cost of reimbursables, such as travel. The timeline plans to complete the work by the end of September, 2015 and Board review and action in October.  The goal is to take action on potential solar project(s) in October, 2015 in preparation for the delayed roofing projects now scheduled for summer 2016.  The CEG Plan will describe the site(s) conducive to a solar solution.
