Item Title:Approval of Annual District Parent Involvement Policy and Site Parental Involvement Policies for 2015/16 School Year

Background:In support of strengthening student academic achievement, each school district that receives Title I Part A funds must develop a written parental involvement policy (District Parental Involvement Policy) that contains information required by section 1118(b) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). This policy is developed jointly with families of participating children, securing their agreement before being distributed for their information.

This policy (BP 6020) comes before the Board annually per compliance and requires Board approval. There are no changes to this policy at this time.

Pursuant to Board Policy 6020, Title I schools must also annually review and revise site Parent Involvement Policies with stakeholders. These policies are attached for approval by the Board.
