The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is the district's annual plan that includes a description of the actions and services to address the needs of all students and especially those that are classified as 'unduplicated.'  These students include English learners, socioeconomically disadvantaged students, homeless youth, and foster youth. 

A district’s LCAP must align with its proposed budget and detail the actions, services, goals, and expenditures a district plans to achieve its core goals.  It also must include specific descriptions, accounting, and justification (where required) for a district’s expenditure of Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) supplemental funds.  These funds are allocated to districts based on their unduplicated student enrollment.

AUSD’s LCAP goals are to:

• Eliminate barriers to student success and maximize learning time.
• Support all students in becoming college and work ready and demonstrating measured annual growth relative to their individual performance level(s).
• Support parent/guardian development as knowledgeable partners and effective advocates for student success.
• Ensure that ALL students have access to the required basic services.

This item will be followed at the next meeting by a formal public hearing for the 2016-17 AUSD Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)
