Following the Board’s approval of staff recommendations, Working Groups were formed to create guidance and procedures for both, a Flexible and Remote Model for the Fall. A Working Group Orientation Meeting for all lead members was held on June 24 to review the scope of work, discuss collaboration protocols, recruitment of members, and calendaring.
Staff will also share with the Board additional potential modifications and adjustments for opening of school in fall in light of the current concerns around increasing COVID-19 case rates in Alameda county.

Working Group leads would create and meet with their teams during the week and report back at the lead check-ins. Regular weekly lead check-ins were scheduled for every Thursday and will continue to be held through the summer.
Today, staff are presenting a “Working Groups and Reopening Status Report” that summarizes the work done so far by the Working Groups.
