Item Title:Approval of School Family Involvement Policies for 2020-21 School Year

Background:

In support of strengthening student academic achievement, each school district that receives Title I Part A funds must develop a written parent involvement policy. This policy comes before the Board annually and requires Board approval.

 

AUSD's Parent Involvement Policy (BP 6020) was approved by the Board of Education on October 13, 2020.

 

Pursuant to Board Policy 6020, the Title I schools listed below must also annually review and revise their School Family Involvement Policies with stakeholders.

 

  • Love Elementary
  • Paden Elementary
  • Ruby Bridges Elementary
  • Wood Middle School

 

Staff seek the approval of the Board of Education for the School Family Involvement Policies presented tonight. 

 

AUSD LCAP Goals:1. Eliminate barriers to student success and maximize learning time.| 2a. Support all students in becoming college and career ready.| 2b. Support all English Learners (ELs) in becoming college and career ready.| 3. Support parent/guardian development as knowledgeable partners and effective advocates for student success.| 4. Ensure that all students have access to basic services.
