Item Title:Discussion of Proposals Received Regarding Former Maintenance Yard Facility Located at 2615 Eagle Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501 (10 Mins/Information/Discussion)

Background:
The District has been working toward selling certain real property located at 2615 Eagle Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501 (hereinafter the “Property”).

In 2020, the Board found that the Property is surplus to the District’s needs and determined that the Property is “exempt surplus” pursuant to Government Code sections 54220 et seq.  The Board also authorized the filing of a waiver application with the State Board of Education (“SBE”), which the SBE approved on November 5, 2020. As part of that approval, the SBE requested the District disclose proposals received to purchase the Property.

On January 15, 2021, the District issued a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for the purpose of seeking buyers for the Property. Offers were due by March 1, 2021. The District received one response, from the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda. The purpose of this item is to disclose the proposal received, and allow for public comment.
