Background:

In June of 2021 the Board reviewed an initial draft of an equity statement. In subsequent months, following a return to full-time in-person instruction, pandemic-related concerns slowed the process of reviewing and revising that statement.

 

In spring of 2022, the Board resumed discussion not only of that statement, but also initial revisions of an equity policy and administrative regulation. 

 

Tonight, Board president Williams and Superintendent Scuderi bring forward revisions of those documents, for the Board's further consideration.

  

AUSD LCAP Goals:1. Eliminate barriers to student success and maximize learning time.| 2a. Support all students in becoming college and career ready.| 2b. Support all English Learners (ELs) in becoming college and career ready.| 3. Support parent/guardian development as knowledgeable partners and effective advocates for student success.| 4. Ensure that all students have access to basic services.
