Background:

Pursuant to Board Bylaw 9150: Student Board Members, the Board of Education believes it is important to seek out and consider students' ideas, viewpoints, and reactions to the educational program. In order to provide student input and involvement, the Board includes one Student Board Member each from Alameda, ASTI, Encinal, and Island high schools.

 

The Student Board Member from Island High School will be sworn in at a subsequent meeting.


The Board President or Superintendent will swear in the Student Board Members who will be seated at tonight's meeting.
