Background:
 

In alignment with Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 3311 for compliance with Public Contract Code 20111, AUSD posted Request for Proposal (RFP) #0023-049-01 for Expanded Learning Opportunities Program on December 2, 2022. Twelve (12) firms submitted by the deadline of 2:00 pm on January 17, 2023. Sealed proposals were opened and given an initial review on January 18, 2023. The selection committee extensively reviewed, analyzed, and scored the received proposals the week of January 30, 2023. Two (2) firms were then interviewed by the committee on February 9 & 10, 2023. 

 

Staff recommends the Request for Proposal (RFP) #023-049-01 Expanded Learning Opportunities Program be awarded to Right at School at nine (9) school sites (Bay Farm, Earhart, Edison, Encinal, Franklin, Lincoln, Otis, Paden, and Wood). With approval of this bid award, the District will approve the attached one (1) year contract with Right at School, with options to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms with satisfactory service.

 

Additionally, staff is recommending to maintain the current After School Education & Safety (ASES) program at Love Elementary, Ruby Bridges Elementary, and Maya Lin Elementary with their current providers. These contracts for 2023-24 will be presented to the Board for approval at a future meeting.
