Background:
 

In alignment with Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 3311 for compliance with Public Contract Code 20111, AUSD posted Request for Proposal (RFP) #0023-077-03 for Solid Waste Disposal, Organic Waste & Recycling Services on January 13, 2023. Two (2) firms submitted by the deadline of 2:00 pm on February 17, 2023. Sealed proposals were opened and scored by the reviewing committee on February 22, 2023. 

 

Staff recommends the bid for Request for Proposal (RFP) #023-077-03 for Solid Waste Disposal, Organic Waste & Recycling Services be awarded to Alameda County Industries (ACI).

 

With approval of this bid award, the District will execute an annual contract with ACI, with options to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms. The contract will be presented to the Board for approval at a future meeting.
