| Background: | EJSHS Radio teacher, Kevin Gorham, is seeking pre-approval to proceed with planning an out-of-state field trip from October 17 – 22, 2023. Radio broadcasting students from Mr. Gorham’s advanced class will attend the 2023 National Electronics Conference in Orlando, Florida, hosted by the College Broadcasting, Inc. The final itinerary and travel details will be submitted to the Board in September 2023 by Dr. Vernon Walton, Director of Secondary Education. The trip will be paid for by the students and through fundraising by Mr. Gorham. Financial need will not be an impediment for student participation. No district funds will be used for this field trip.
