Item Title:Approval of Facilities Bond Measure I and Measure B Contracts (Standing Item)

Background:Alameda voters approved Facilities Bond Measure I in November 2014 and approved Facilities Bond Measure B in June 2022.

 

As the bond schedules dictate, various contracts will come before the Board for approval. Contracts may include construction bid contracts, architectural services contract addenda, specialists/consultants agreements, etc. Staff has created a standing board item to keep the contracts for Measure I and Measure B separate from the approval of other district contracts.

 

1.       (Fund 21 – Measure I) Prime Contract Change Order #001 to Lease Leaseback Agreement between AUSD and Lathrop Construction Associates, Inc. for an increase of $21,069.38 and a new contract sum of $2,673,951.38. (Longfellow)

2.       (Fund 21 – Measure B) Prime Contract Change Order #001 to Lease Leaseback Agreement between AUSD and Lathrop Construction Associates, Inc. for an increase of $109,918.72 and a new contract sum of $5,894,366.72. (Wood Middle School)

3.       (Fund 21 – Measure B) Prime Contract Change Order #002 to Lease Leaseback Agreement between AUSD and Lathrop Construction Associates, Inc. for a decrease of $100,000.00 and a new contract sum of $859,120.15. (Lum Demolition)

4.       (Fund 21 – Measure B) Prime Contract Change Order #003 to Lease Leaseback Agreement between AUSD and Lathrop Construction Associates, Inc. for an increase of $126,278.34 and a new contract sum of $6,138,367.34. (Temp Campus)

5.       (Fund 21 – Measure B) Project Addendum No. 2108.00 to Master Agreement for Architectural Services for Measure B Bond Projects between AUSD and Quattrocchi Kwok Architects, Inc. for total fees and reimbursable expenses totaling $1,172,891.00. (EJSHS Gym)

6.       (Fund 21 – Measure B) Project Addendum No. 2121.1 to Master Agreement for Architectural Services for Measure B Bond Projects between AUSD and Quattrocchi Kwok Architects, Inc. for revised fees of $17,325.00 and a total new revised fees and reimbursable expenses totaling $490,325.00.
