The attached information has been prepared to comply with the AB 1200 and collective bargaining agreement public disclosure requirements of Government Code Section 3547.5. The forms are designed to present multi-year costs and budget implications of negotiations once completed. The forms and copies of the proposed bargaining agreements must be submitted to the Alameda County Office of Education after the Board of Education has taken action on the proposed agreement.
The District has reached a tentative agreement with the Alameda Education Foundation (AEA), California School Employees Association – Chapter 860, and California School Employees Association – Chapter 27 Bargaining Units. In accordance with Board Policy 4351, the same terms will be applied to unrepresented employees. Inequities between certain unrepresented classified salary placements are also being adjusted. All agreements and salary increases are reflected in the attached salary schedules.
The terms for all employee groups are listed below:
FY 2025-26
- 3% ongoing compensation increase retroactive to 7/1/2025
- 1% ongoing compensation increase retroactive to 1/1/2026
- 2% one-time payment during 2025-26
- Increase district’s medical contribution towards participating active employees to $1,168 per month
FY 2026-27
- 3% ongoing compensation increase effective 7/1/2026
- Annual stipend to complete mandated training (not applicable to unrepresented employees)
- Increase district’s medical contribution towards participating active employees to $1,500 per month for Employee Only plans and $1,700 for Employee Plus plans
FY 2027-28
- 3% ongoing compensation increase effective 7/1/2027
- Increase district’s medical contribution towards participating active employees to $1,800 for Employee Plus plans
The total three-year implementation cost of the tentative agreement reached with the three bargaining units is $32.2 million. This amount ($32.2 million) includes a set-aside for an identical compensation increase for management/unrepresented employees.
