| Background: | The Board is asked to take action on the creation of the Paul Hardy Parker Scholarship.
Paul Hardy Parker was an employee of the District for 24 years. He worked as a custodian at Wood Middle School. Mr. Parker passed away July 9, 2013. In his memory, his family has asked to create a scholarship in his name. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior at Alameda High School and a graduating senior at Encinal High School who are entering into the education profession. Each student will receive an award of $5000. |
