On January 27, 2015, the Board of Education delegated authority to enter into contracts on behalf of the Alameda Unified School District and to purchase supplies, materials, apparatus, equipment, and services up to the amounts specified in Public Contract Code 20111 and Education Code section 17604 to the Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, Chief Business Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and the General Counsel.
Resolution Number 14-0002 further limited the delegation to expenditures of less than $86,000 and required that the Board of Education ratify the contracts within sixty (60) days of incurring the expense.
The following contracts are presented for ratification:
- Partnership Agreement between AUSD (Wood Middle School) and Asian Community Mental Health Services.
- Approval of the General, Fiscal and Operational Memorandum of Understanding(s) (MOU) between Alameda Unified School District and the Academy of Alameda (AOA).
- Independent Contractor's Agreement between AUSD and OnScene Technologies, Inc. for a total fee not to exceed $40,500.00 over a three year period.
- Agreement for Legal Services between AUSD and Fagen, Friedman & Fulfrost, LLP. with total value determined by hourly professional rates.
- Professional Services Agreement between AUSD and Bonnie Tucker for a total not to exceed $25,000.00.
- Professional Services Agreement between AUSD and American Logistics Company, LLC for a total not to exceed $50,000.00.
- EHS Lease-Leaseback Site and Facilities Lease between AUSD and Western Water Features for an estimated cost of $2,800,000.00 with $1,900,000.00 funded by the City of Alameda.
