Background:

The District reached out to two respected vendors and received cost estimates to conduct a Level I Developer Fee study.  SchoolWorks was selected as the vendor for AUSD.

 

The purpose of the developer fee study is to confirm the rates at which the District can charge developers for any construction projects within the District’s boundary.  Currently, the State and District rates are the same at $3.36 per square foot for residential projects and $0.54 per square foot for commercial projects. The Developer Fee study confirms the District's rates are in line with State regulations. 

 

The State will adjust the rates again in January 2016.  The District will update the study again at that time to confirm the rates the District will be able to charge local developers.
