Item Title: | Approval of Memorandum of Understanding between Alameda Unified School District and San Diego County Superintendent of Schools Designated Subjects Adult and Career Technical Education Credentials Program |
Item Type: | Consent |
Background: | In California, the credentialing system is two-tiered. Individuals are initially issued a preliminary credential and receive a clear credential once the individual completes the necessary requirements outlined on their credential.
In the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD), we are proposing to establish Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the San Diego County Superintendent of Schools for individuals holding a Career Technical Education (CTE) and/or Designated Subjects Adult credential.
The partnership will offer AUSD teachers the opportunity to enroll in programs offered through San Diego County as they work towards clearing their CTE or Designated Subjects credential.
This MOU shall be effective from April 12, 2016 until June 30, 2021 and is renewable by mutual written agreement.
