Background:In spring 2016 a community petition was presented to the Board of Education proposing to introduce later school start times at the middle and high school level.  Following this presentation, the Superintendent asked staff to further explore the issue.  Exploration to date has included meetings with the originators of the petition and administration of a survey to students, parents/guardians, and staff.  This presentation summarizes the current context for exploration of later school start times and the results of the community surveys.
