The Board of Education believes it is important to seek out and consider students' ideas, viewpoints, and reactions to the educational program. The duties of the Student Board Member include providing continuing input for Board deliberations, strengthening communications between the Board and District students, and representing all students in discussing all sides of issues.

Student Board Members are selected by student leadership and/or site administrators in a method determined to best represent the interests of students at that high school site. The following student will be recognized for her contributions to the Board of Education tonight:

The Board wishes to recognize Ms. Chan for her commitment and participation as her term in office ends.

The Board will recognize the Student Board Members from Alameda High School and Encinal Jr. & Sr. High School on June 13th.
