In January, the District began a review of its real estate holdings to ensure that it held the assets needed to do the District’s work and accommodate future growth. In May, the Board ordered that a District Advisory Committee (DAC) be created to review the District’s real estate holdings and make recommendations consistent with the Education Code.
The Board of Education approved eleven individuals to the DAC at its October 24, 2017 meeting. One of the appointed members resigned from the committee in late January. The District’s Executive Cabinet met to review the remaining received applications and determine whom to recommend for appointment to the DAC in order to fill the newly vacant position. If approved, this recommended member will join the committee for its meeting on February 20, 2018.
The Superintendent recommends the following membership:
Ron Matthews - member of the Alameda business community, property owner, person with expertise in related field.
