| Item Title: | Approval of Certificated Layoff Agreement | | Item Type: | Consent | | Background: | On March 13, 2018, the Governing Board adopted a resolution stating its intent to recommend the reduction of particular kinds of services pursuant to California Education Code Sections 44949 and 44955.
On or before March 15, 2018, affected employees received preliminary written notification that their services will not be needed for the 2018-2019 school year and were informed of their right to request a hearing under California Education Code 44949 (b).
Subsequently, the Alameda Unified School District entered into a certificated layoff agreement with the affected individuals, and the agreement is presented tonight to the Board of Education to finalize the terms of certificated layoff agreement.
