The Board of Education directed staff to convene a committee of parents/guardians, staff, and students to review data on the viability and effects of combining Alameda High School and Encinal High School into one comprehensive high school.
The Committee is tasked with providing a report to the Board of Education that will lay out several scenarios for what a district with one comprehensive high school could look like.
At its June 26, 2018 meeting, the Board approved (15) applicants to the committee and asked for an additional four (4) students to be chosen to sit on the committee.
Tonight's presentation will update the Board on progress made on this process for evaluating a high school consolidation.
