Background:

On August 28, the district received a charter renewal petition from Nea Community Learning Center.

 

On September 25, AUSD General Counsel Chad Pimentel gave a presentation on the process AUSD would follow during the charter petition renewal process. The presentation also set out the standards governing charter renewal petitions and served as the required public hearing on the petition.

 

Tonight, Nea Community Learning Center leadership will give the Board information on their program and goals.

 

AUSD staff will give a draft recommendation on the charter renewal petition to the Board at a subsequent meeting.

 

The presentation for this item will be provided to the Board and public on Tuesday, October 23rd.
