Background:

This item proposes the renaming of two secondary courses following consultation with CDE to bring them into alignment with Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathway nomenclature. The Computer Science Principles CTE Honors course includes the option for students to prepare for and take the Advanced Placement Exam. Both courses are within the computer Science CTE Pathway at Alameda High School.

 

Computer Science Principles CTE:

Prerequisite: One other computer science pathway course

Elective/Required: Elective

Grade Level:  9-12

Subject Area: Elective

Length: One year

Credits: 10
