Background:

In response to complaints from community members, AUSD recently conducted an evaluation of its facilities rental processes and procedures. Results from that evaluation prompted AUSD to retain an audit firm to determine whether District procedures were adequate and whether failure to follow existing policies had cost the District money in the past. This presentation summarizes the findings from this audit.

The audits scope was not broad enough to fix a total loss amount. However, sampling identified $14,000 in custodial and utility costs incurred by the District.
