Item Title:Approval of Request to the California Department of Education (CDE) for Allowance of Attendance Due to Emergency Conditions

Background:

On Friday, November 16, 2018, schools were closed as a result of the Camp Fire in Butte County. The decision to close all of the districts within the county was made jointly by the superintendents of Alameda County's 21 school districts and Regional Occupational Programs.

 

Staff is asking the Board to approve a waiver that would obtain approval of attendance and instructional time credit pursuant to Ed Code (EC) sections 41422, 46200, 46391, 46392, and California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 5, Section 428.
