Item Title:Approval of 2018-19 Consolidated Application Winter Reporting

Background:

The Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS) is the California Department of Education’s (CDE) application and reporting mechanism selected categorical funding.  Each summer (June) Local Education Agencies (LEAs) apply for funding and each winter (February) LEAs provide a status update. The Alameda Unified School District programs funded through the Consolidated Application for 2018-19 are the following:

 

Federal Programs:

  • Title I, Part A (Basic Grant)
  • Title II, Part A (Teacher Quality)
  • Title III, Part A (Immigrant)
  • Title III, Part A (LEP Students) (LEP=Limited English Proficient Students/English Language Learners)
AUSD LCAP Goals:1. Eliminate barriers to student success and maximize learning time.| 2a. Support all students in becoming college and career ready.| 2b. Support all English Learners (ELs) in becoming college and career ready.| 3. Support parent/guardian development as knowledgeable partners and effective advocates for student success.| 4. Ensure that all students have access to basic services.
