As indicated in the Conservation, Efficiency, and Generation (CEG) Plan presented to the Board in January of 2016, the District had a significant opportunity for energy savings in the area of conservation. One of the first energy conservation measures staff recommended was the implementation of an energy management program which focused on organizational and behavioral change to enable the District to reduce consumption of energy.
The Board approved Cenergistic to develop and implement an energy conservation program. Cenergistic is an energy conservation company with 25 years of experience in developing and implementing an institution-wide commitment to conservation through organizational behavior principles.
Tonight, Brett Nelson from Cenergistic will present the Energy Conservation Program results from June 2016 through January 2019.
