On February 12, 2019, the Board of Education delegated authority to enter into contracts on behalf of the Alameda Unified School District and to purchase supplies, materials, apparatus, equipment, and services up to the amounts specified in Public Contract Code 20111 and Education Code section 17604 to the Superintendent of Schools, Chief Student Support Officer, Chief Academic Officer, Chief Business Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and the General Counsel.
Resolution Number 2018-2019.28 further limited the delegation to expenditures of less than $92,600 and required that the Board of Education ratify the contracts within sixty (60) days of incurring the expense.
The following contracts are presented for ratification:
1. General, Fiscal and Operational Memorandum of Understanding between AUSD and Academy of Alameda.
2. (Fund 01) Memorandum of Understanding Regarding Crossing Guard Services between AUSD and the City of Alameda for a total contribution of $86,970.00.
3. (Fund 01) ASES Memorandum of Understanding between AUSD and Edventure More (dba Camp Edmo) for a total of $208,489.97. (Ruby Bridges)
4. (Fund 01) Professional Services Agreement between AUSD and Alameda Arts for a total not to exceed $112,500.00. (Paden)
5. (Fund 13) Food Service Agreement AUSD and ACLC Community Learning Center according to the following price schedule: Full Cost Breakfast @ $2.00/student, Full Cost Lunch @ $3.25/elementary student, $3.75/middle school student, and $4.00/high school student. Reduced Pay Breakfast will cost $.30 and Reduced Pay Lunch will cost $.40.
6. (Fund 01) Professional Services Agreement between AUSD and Equal Opportunity Schools for lump sum total of $27,600 for FY 19/20 and 20/21.
7. (Fund 13) Food Service Agreement AUSD and The Phillips Academy according to the following price schedule: Breakfast @ $2.00/student, Lunch @ $3.25/elementary student, $3.75/middle school student, and $4.00/high school student.
8. (Fund 13) Food Service Agreement AUSD and Academy of Alameda according to the following price schedule: Full Cost Breakfast @ $2.00/student, Full Cost Lunch @ $3.25/elementary student, $3.75/middle school student, and $4.00/high school student. Reduced Pay Breakfast will cost $.30 and Reduced Pay Lunch will cost $.40.
9. (Fund 13) Food Service Agreement AUSD and Alameda Family Services - Head Start according to the following price schedule: Breakfast @ $2.00/student, Lunch @ $3.25/student, Snack @ $1.50/student, Dinner @ $3.50/student.
10. (Fund 01) Professional Services Agreement between AUSD and Facing History and Ourselves for a flat fee not to exceed $60,000.00.
