Background: | Alameda Unified School District’s summer school programs include a diverse range of offerings providing support to specific student groups. These include:
- Extended School Year (ESY) for students in grades K-12 (eligibility determined by Individualized Education Program (IEP))
- Elementary academic program for eligible English Learners and students participating in Title 1 programs
- Elementary afterschool program for students participating in CDE grant-funded afterschool program during regular school year
- Woodstock Child Development Center (WCDC) school-age program serving eligible students in Transitional Kindergarten through age 11
- Secondary academic program for eligible English Learners
- Cyberhigh credit recover for eligible high school students
- Adult school program offerings including English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, High School Diploma/Equivalency courses, and Optometric Assistant Job Training
