Item Title:Approval of Bid Award for Invitation to Bid (IBD) #1950 Landscape Maintenance of AUSD Sports Fields

Background:
 

In alignment with Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 3311 for compliance with Public Contract Code 20111, AUSD posted an Invitation To Bid (ITB) # 1950 for Landscape Maintenance of AUSD Sports Fields on October 15, 2019.  A bid conference and job-walk was conducted on October 18, 2019.  Two (2) organizations submitted a bid by the deadline of 3:00 p.m. on November 1, 2019. The sealed bids were opened and reviewed by staff on November 1, 2019.

 

Staff recommends the award for ITB #1950 Landscape Maintenance of AUSD Sports Fields be awarded to the apparent low bidder Gachina Landscape Management. A Notification of Apparent Low Bidder was sent to bidding organizations on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

 

The Contract for Repairs, Maintenance or Small Construction Projects for Landscape Maintenance of AUSD Sports Fields between AUSD and Gachina Landscape Management is attached to this agenda item and staff is asking that the Board concurrently approve the Bid Award and the Contract for Repairs, Maintenance or Small Construction Projects in order to expedite services.
