After the California Department of Education's (CDE) review of AUSD's Annual Performance Measures, California School Dashboard, and General Compliance, the California Department of Education found that AUSD, like many other Districts, needed to improve their compliance and procedures. The Comprehensive Review Corrective Action from the California Department of Education (CDE) requires that staff present a progress update to the Board of Education by November 13, 2019.
Tonight, staff will also present goal areas and progress to date as related to the Special Education Strategic Plan and how they interface with the Comprehensive Review. The Special Education Department has worked on four of the five Program Priorities which are:
- Intervention and Identification
- Service Delivery Model
- Systems of Support
- Leadership and Communication
- Monitoring and Compliance
